Big Question

In Year 1 we have been busy learning how to read, follow and write instructions. We made Lighthouse Sandwiches for Mrs Grinling last week and this week we are writing the instructions to match, pop in and see if you like.
Below are pictures taken from when we made bread for the Little Red Hen, do you think you could type some instructions to match?
By the way it tasted delicious so you if you fancy having a go and need any bread making advice, just ask Year 1!

1KJ had a great trip to the Post Office on Friday, we wrote our addresses on the envelopes as part of our home learning task, then wrote a letter home in the independent writing area. Take a look at our lovely photos!

Tia says "Push harder I want to go faster".

Last week Year 1 all went to the playground in the Park to investigate Push and Pull.  We found out that some things you push, some things you pull and some things you do BOTH! If you want to see how much fun we had just look at this photo.(There are lots more photos in all of the classrooms).

We’ve been building up to Christmas in 1KJ, take a peek…

We had a firework display in the park and look how we are turning this into a dance.

This week in Year 1 we have been finding out about The Three Billy Goats Gruff. The children have had a question to answer in each area of learning and have approached each challenge with enthusiasm.
